- Coolant as the core unit in the container water cooling system, it is recommended to follow up and test regularly, at least once a year (pH value is tested once every six months).
- Coolant procurement needs to focus on the relevant parameters in Table 3.1, and needs to be considered as appropriate when the requirements are not met.
- Regular testing of coolant focuses on pH value, when the pH value is lower than 7 then it is not recommended (pH indicator can be added to the coolant, when the pH is lower than 8, the coolant will change color to facilitate observation); the testing method is shown in the following table.
- Regular testing of coolant is followed by concern for freezing point, glycol ratio, total hardness, etc.; at a later stage, attention should be paid to whether the content of Al, Fe, Cu and other elements is elevated, which means contact corrosion has occurred after elevation; see the following table for testing methods.
- It is recommended to add corrosion inhibitors to the antifreeze for maintenance and repair on a regular basis according to the requirements of the supplier.
