Note: It is forbidden to use pure water or tap water within areas with high risk on freezing, must use the relative anti-icing fluid; required to use the related tools such as air pump to clean up the liquid within the hydro board for certain circumstances, such as rework, transfer or storage activities. Please use a plug to block the water inlet and outlet before packaging.
1. Case Study
Below issue was found out when customer performing rework:
i) Water leakage on the hydro board
ii) Water leakage due to bulging on brazing area, which as shown below:
iii) The connecter was cracked due to expansion as photos shown below:
2. Root cause analysis
As understand from customer, this was caused by the huge differences between room temperature of 23 degree Celsius and outdoor temperature of -17 degree Celsius, customer did not dry the board after disassembled the machine, which caused the water freeze inside the hydro board to expand and exploded or even damage the bulge.
3. Precautions
During operation and maintenance
It is forbidden to use pure water or tap water within areas with high risk on freezing, must use the relative anti-icing fluid;
Refer to below link for the anti-icing fluid:

When returning for repair
Required to use the related tools such as air pump to clean up the liquid within the hydro board for certain circumstances, such as rework, transfer or storage activities.
Also please use a plug to block the water inlet and outlet before packaging.
4. Risk
If the liquid was not dried during the rework or movement, it will cause the leakage issue to happen, if the liquid flow down to the hashboard accidentally, may cause the board to be burnt and scrapped when the hashboard is open source. If the liquid flow down to the packaging box, it will damage the packaging box as well.
If it is within the low temperature area, the expansion which caused by the freezing of liquid will damage the hydro board and connector.
Please be noted all of the above issues may void the warranty, please be more cautions!
