I. Miners
1. What is the status of the miners?
You can check the status of your miners in two places: your mining pool and BITMAIN.com- "User Center" - "Host Orders" - "Host Order Details".。
2. Reasons for Miner Offline
Miner offline: Reasons include miner relocation, fan failure, control board failure, hash board failure, power supply failure, site withdrawal, etc.
Offline during operation: Reasons include high temperature, low temperature, PDU failure, power rationing, power equipment maintenance, network failure, etc.
3. How to monitor and track miner downtime?
On-site operations will actively monitor all miners and use ANTSENTRY for monitoring. When a problem occurs with a miner, on-site technicians will immediately restart and diagnose the device. If the miner faces issuesissue that on-site operations cannot resolve, it will be sent for repair within 48 hours, entering the RMA process directly.
II. Hosting Fee FAQ
1. What does the hosting fee include?
The HOST Fee includes freight and customs clearance fees from miners to mining farm, electricity, operation maintenance, repair, fluctuations in electricity prices due to market demand and power consumption changes due to environmental temperatures. The minimum payment period for HOST Fee is 1 month.
2. How to calculate the custody fee amount?
HOST Fee = Host Period x Host fee x Power on wall x 24h
3. Will the hosting fee change? If yes, why?
BITMAIN cooperates with mining farms, in which business costs are involved. These costs vary according to different market conditions of the country where the mining farm is located. The major reason for cost changes is the change in electricity fees; when the power grid faces such pressure, and the electricity fees in the country where the mining farm is located will rise, which will cause an increase in the hosting fee.
4. When will changes in hosting fees start? Will it affect the length of my hosting duration?
Hosting fees may change at any time, but we will try to set them on the date of your renewal hosting contract. When hosting fees may change at any time, the length of your hosting duration remains unchanged.
5. Do changes in hosting fees apply to all customers? Which miners are affected?
Changes in hosting fees will be considered on a case-by-case basis. These are typically influenced by the mining farm as different mining farms have varying electricity and operation fees. Please pay close attention to your hosting fee rate emails; affected miners will be detailed in the hosting fee change emails.
6. What are my options?
If you receive a notification about an increase in hosting fees, you may choose to proceed in several ways:
(1) Continue to mine - If you agree to the new hosting fee, no action is needed. You will be charged according to the new rates starting from the next hosting fee bill.
(2) Ship your miner(s) to your address - Typically, if the hosting rate increases, BITMAIN will allow customers to opt out of the current hosting agreement and have their products shipped to a designated address. Customers will need to pay for transportation, customs clearance and possibly transportation insurance.
III. Hosting Terms Note
1. 95% Online Rate Guaranteed
We will ensure that the uptime ratio during the whole span of the Term (calculated when the term ends) is no lower than 95%. If the uptime ratio during the whole span term is lower than 95%, we agree to provide free services to you for a certain period of time (the “Extension Period”) so that the uptime ratio during the whole span of the Term and such Extension Period may reach 95%.
Notwithstanding the forgoing, we do not guarantee that the Services will not be interrupted by outages or shortages of power which are planned or unplanned and outside of our control, and we will not be liable for the foregoing. We do not guarantee the supply of electricity during each season or peak hours of the day. There is a possibility of voluntary or involuntary downtime, curtailment, or outages or shortages of power. We shall not be responsible for the consequences of such outages and such outages shall not be calculated in connection with the Uptime Ratio.
2. Lower Power Mode and Voluntary Power Off
In case of Force Majeure Event or any objective reason including but not limited to extreme weather, curtails of electric power supply, the surge of electricity cost, the change of Theoretical Hashrate PPS Income and any agreement of the Data Center Facility, which makes us determine that the operation and activity of Products are unprofitable (collectively “Incidents”), you unconditionally agree that we shall be entitled to power off any or all of the Products or to have them operate in Low Power Mode in our sole discretion by sending you a notice.
IV. How long is the warranty period for the miners?
The warranty for the miners begins upon making the order(s) and lasts for 365 days. You can use the serial number to check the remaining warranty period of the miner through https://service.bitmain.com/support/warranty
However, if you keep your machines hosted with BITMAIN, BITMAIN will cover the repair costs for up to an additional 2 years out of warranty period.
