DR5 Hashboard stops working after 1-2 hours

Hello,

I recently bought 3 DR5's used from a reseller.  2 out of the 3 are working great, but I am having issues with the 3rd unit.   1-2 hours after a power cycle Hashboard 3 shows XXXXXX and stops working.   If I leave the unit running for multiple days, then 2 out the 3 boards stop working.

    There is PIC faulty ,could you try the below to test it firstly?

    1. Restore to the factory settings.

    2. Change the power supply

    3 Flash the sd card file to recover to the control board .

    my 2 DR5s got same this problem. followed to reset factory setting & flash the SD card file as Jessica recomend but still fail. I want to change the psu but I can't find it on market to buy some, even in shenzhen. If your repair center has the APW8 psu, please help me buy 2pcs.

    1 more thing, machine seem not turn off the control board after read flash file in SD card, it's still running as normal then kernel log show the old fault

    Hi Jessica,

    Thanks for the file. However, I have 100% sure that it is a virus that is infected the control board. The control board cannot be flashed via the antminer web interface (results in 404 error due to the virus blocking the new flash). 

    Do you have any other recommendations how to get rid of the virus? It seems to be very similar to the one that is affecting L3+ miners. With L3+ miners, I had to literally short circuit the control board to get rid off it.

     there are many customers got this problem with dr5 and it's very hard with us to send miner to china for repair in this covid situation but shipping from china is easy. please open sale APW8 for DR5, i can't find it anywhere.

    Hello,

    I have the same "heart_beat_pic16f1704_new failed!" error. The miner will run for a day or so and then the hashboard with fail with this error. I see no power issue in the kernel log. Has anyone had luck correcting this issue?

    My DR5 has the same issue, it run around 25 TH/s as compared with other one (35Th/s). Could you please send me instruction and fw to flash sd card. Thanks (I tried reset to default but not succeed, I have no power supply redundancy)
