    Hello Sir

You can try to use the SD card recovery image to reflash the control board of this miner, and upgarde the latest firmware again.if it can not be fixed after doing this, please send it back to repair.thank you very much.

If you do not have the SD card recovery image, please leave me an email and I will send tit to you.

I tried is OK and on one PCU board not worked. I couldn`t load to flash  PCU controller .   It is blinking as on video instruction and when I turn off miner and take off SD flash from socket  and then turn on to start in normal mode. Miner not starting.

This miner is working only when booting from SD card. Without SD card No. Seems Xilinx controller damaged and needs to be replaced. What is your mind?

Yes when miner  flashed from SD card and leds blinking I turn off miner and take off  this card. Miner fail`s to start. When I load to SD booting mode  BITMAIN firmware  miner start to work  but only first hashboard. By my mind it is  Xilinx CPU problem

Now it is working but sometimes I get like previous Kernel log. And it is working only from  SD    Wthout SD no.

I run only two hashboards. Third hashboard is damaged and I use it as parts donor for other miners.  I bought from BITMAIN 6 S17 miners and after   10 months works them begin to crash. From 6 miners 5 very often have to repair. And  is good for me that   I know electronics, other way it could be costed toooo much.

Here is included picture of this donor board. One of chip burned and damaged a board(It is mentioned  blue #1). And I had no other way to use it as donor.

I don`t know why but mainly in S17 hashboards  die chips which are marked places  in red These last days I replaced almost 30 hash chips

S9  BITMAIN miners were much much stronger than these S17 which are working only warranty period and after warranty period begins big headache. .

    Hi, Animalsimpex

I am Luke, nice to meet you!

Please upgrade the latest firmware for this S17Pro,the current version is May 27,it is too old, please download the latest version from this link:https://service.bitmain.com/support/download?product=Antminer%20S17%20Pro

And then we'll see how it works.

    Hello Luke

May I ask you some questions about parts on board?

    Hello,Yanosh

Did you try to use SD card recovery image to recover it?or reset it back to factory settings?

there is no reason why the latest firmware cannot be upgraded.

Yes please, please feel free to contact me if you have any technical questions about our miner.

No On other miners it works but on this miner NO. Seems controller must to be replaced.

Can you say me part number and / or mark on  hashboard picture where are BOARD  temperature sensors  placed .

    Hey,Yanosh

For S17/S17 Pro antminers, please kindly check the pictures below:

What is the name of this part?  Is it T451B7?

You can take a closer look at the surface of the temperature sensor on your board, there are models on it.

I asked you because it is looking like this part is endemic of China. I couldn`t find its PDF description and not a part for sale on DIGIKEY Mouser even on Aliexpress. Can you please give me circuit documentation on full miner - power board, PCU board and hashboard and PDF description on BM1397 chip? For I not to trouble you with questions.

Please leave me an email,I will send the repair guide to you, which model do you need? I think it will be helpful for you.

    Here is my mail- mr.yanosh777@gmail.com

If you mean about S17 and S17 pro  hashboard  maintenance instructions  I have this guide. But there is no full circuit with parts and no power module board. For example I have burned PWM controller on S17 PRO  power module and couldn`t find this chip all over the world. Looks like this is endemic of China or even more BITMAIN.

I have very big problems with S17 Pro miners bought 10 months ago. After 10 months all five miners died. I really every day repair a miner  changing damaged B1397 chips. They are very very poor quality. I have bank debt  With bank money these miners are bought.  Who will cover me this debt.  I image how many people are in this shit situation. These miners are not S9 miners. These S9 miners are real masterpiece of BITMAIN. Till present days they are working fine  and no any problems. But with these S17 shit miners you kill people who works in mining busuness. And I believe that many of them have bank debt. After 7-10 months these B1397 chips die and ALL must to be replaced with new ones. In other case it is very big problem. They will damage one by one

So sorry for your defective miners, please send them back to repair if you need any help,we have maintenance engineers who will provide professional services, since we have no more detailed information besides maintenance instructions,if you need our help to troubleshoot, please send us the kernel log here, thank you.

Sending defective miners to you and back will cost for me nearby USD 400 plus repair cost and no any warranty that they will will not die again after even 6 months.  Can you please to open for my BITMAIN account authority to buy materials. This will be more useful for me.

    Good day Luke

I`ve upgraded another controller and have the same temperature error. Can you check kernel log. What is the problem

From hashboard 1 getting temperature all sensors error

Hello my friend. Thank you for your answer and instructions.

I`ve made exactly as you say but no any success.

Can you to say me please when I get this error:

    quick_dump_core_hash_clock_counter: bad clock counter. chain = 0, asic = 7, core = 0, found 0, clock counter 0x00000000

where to check the problem ? Is it crystal problems?

    Warm regards

    Yanosh

    Hello,Animalsimpex

Please just check the chip No.7,replace it.some signal output of this chip is abnormal.

Can you to mark them on board please. Which is 55 chip, 40 chip, 180 chip and 195 chip

    Thank you

Hi Animalsimpex, maybe you have a problem because the temperature is too low. It can be when you use Bitmain firmware, and as a result ASIC stops mining. You can try to disable the temperature test on the Hiveon firmware and keep mining.

You can read this one https://medium.com/hiveon/advanced-asic-statuses-watch-your-devices-with-ease-79eb35bb6d89
