D7 - one hashboard not showing and the other hashes only at 65gh/s

Troubleshoot with the support using another 100% working D7.  Cables are all good. PSU both are good.  We pinned down the two boards.  #2 and #3 are bad.   #2 hashes at full speed, 420+gh/s and will throttle down to less than 60gh/s.  #3 board is just dead.  Swap #3 board with another D7 and the board still not showing on the second D7.  A good hashboard from the second D7, worked at full speed with the first D7.  So... anyway, opened a repair ticket and shipped the D7 to Delaware, US.  Hope to get it back soon.

Temp is 57 in and 75 out.

Hi,  I am the original poster of this thread.  I have sent my defective D7 to Delaware, US repair shop and was returned an exact same defective machine.... lol... still two boards defective.  Not sure why but this is what happened.  But after contacting the support for explanation, they offered to pay for the shipping charge(as it is a second DOA and in form of credit) back to Delaware and eventually they shipped a replacement for me from China.  So, ship to Delware and not HK for your D7 repair if you are in the US.

    Hi,

Yes I have the same problem. Bought 5 pcs and only 2 working well.

    It looks like chip issues.

At what temperature are you running yours?

    Rgds,

    Jaro

From my understanding you can only ship the D7 to Hong Kong, how did u ship it to Delaware?

What ever happened to this?  I'm having similar issues.

Is USPS an option to ship to Bitmain in HK?

What was the turnaround time for sending it to DE/them sending it back to you faulty and what was the overall turnaround time until resolution with the new unit?

I also wanted to check if you sent it to DE when the website HK repair only or did you send it before that was a stipulation on one of the devices?  I just don't want it to be sent back for no reason and wasting time.

    Thx for the info!

It took about one month to get the first one back from repair.  Ticket indicated minter repaired and ticket was completed.  It took another 2 weeks to get a replacement from China after reopening the repair ticket.  I had confirmation from ticket support staff to send to Delaware.    Best you create support ticket with them first if you have doubts.

Good Morning, I have the same problem and I hope that Bitmain will give me quick response

I opened up a ticket as Dean Ku suggested.  I had a faulty hash board that needed to be replaced and my total turn around time from the day they received it was 7 business days.

    Best of luck

Kenny, did you ship yours to Hong Kong or DE?  When did you ship it off?  I have two boards not hashing as well.

    Thanks,

    Hi Scott,

I placed a trouble ticket and asked where I can send the equipment.  They offered US official centers and HK as options. The discussion with trouble ticket and trouble shooting took about 7-10 days (partially my fault as well).  I would just ask to see if the US is still an option.  I asked because I did not want to deal with the tariffs of international shipping.

I mailed it out 1/20/22 via UPS, it arrived 1/21/22 AM at their facility.  They shipped it out on 1/28/22 with slated delivery date of 2/2/22 via FedEx but it arrived early on 1/31/22.  Upon arrival the unit came back with new SN stickers showing they serviced it I would think.  I'm not sure what they did but the unit is certainly functioning better and actually quieter now.

Hopefully it stays like this and does not break down again.... If it does, I hope it is still within the warranty period.  The initial one lasted 2+ months so lets see what happens in 3 months.

    Best,

    KC

Small update.  My repaired unit broke down on the same hash board that was replaced.  I sent it out 2/15/22 and just received it back on 3/4/22.

There was new serial number sticker on the outside, covering the first sticker they placed on there.

Hopefully it is the final repair but 2 repairs in the last 4 months or so is not very promising.

I am on my 4th repair between the two machines.  One comes back fixed and one goes out at the same time for repair.  This is the 4th time shipping back and forth.  The people in Delaware may have no clue on how to fix these things.  How can they ship back a machine with the exact same error? or same number of bad hashboards???  or just completely dead machine????  Did they ever check before shipping back?   Whoever works there should be fired!

I just received my D7 from Hong Kong that was sent in for repair due to inoperative hash boards.  I purchased it new and it was only online for one month.   Only two of the three hash boards are now working after being repaired by Bitmain.   This is ridiculous.  There is a serious flaw with the D7and Bitmain needs to make it right.  Anyone have any luck shipping to a US repair facility?
